Craig and Tony are once again roaming the halls at Agile Australia in Sydney and finding random folks to talk to at the conference:

Sarah Romeyn from WorkCover Queensland – enjoyed Pete Steel talk “Developing an Experimentation Culture” and Sherif Monsour talk “The art of building a roadmap“
Rachel Slattery from Slatterys (organiser of Agile Australia) – 1,200 attendees (a sellout) at the conference, such a good level of goodwill in the Agile community, half of the conference are new people and 60% hear about it through word of mouth, all flavours of ice cream (even coconut apparently…), AgileAus hub for all things Agile in Australia
Melissa Perri keynote “The Build Trap“, teal organisations tend to form like that at inception, other organisations have the people but the process to get there is still hard
Adam Boas and Andy Kelk from Marketplacer – enjoying the deep dive sessions as a way to talk to speakers you normally don’t get the opportunity to talk to, outcomes over output is a key theme at the conference

Craig and Tony are once again roaming the floor, this time at the Agile Australia conference in Sydney, looking for interesting people in the Australian Agile community. While walking around the floor they run into:

Rachel Slattery (SlatteryIT) – organiser of Agile Australia talks about the record crowd, selection of speakers and the number of first timers new to Agile
Kim Ballestrin – organiser of Cynefin Melbourne Meetup Group discusses what’s new in the Cynefin world and enjoyed the talk learning about the model used by Flow Perth
Ben Melbourne and Jean D’Amore (ThoughtWorks) – discussed applying Agile techniques to reality television (and podcasts), Ben’s workshop on “Using Design Thinking to Drive Agile Planning” and Jean’s talk on “Delivering with microservices or how to iterate towards sophistication”
Daniel Luschwitz (SoftEd) – talked about the strengths of ICAgile over other approaches and the Agile community in Singapore
Ben Escudero and Julian Parry – enjoyed the DevOps and leadership talks
Ryan McKergow (Elabor8) – enjoyed David Mole’s talk on putting Drive into practice, Agile for beginners and the 1st Conference in Melbourne
Jody Podbury – on the transformation of Agile at Vodafone in the Digital team and now across the wider business and Lean UX
